What is an LLL Leader?

Our warm and friendly breastfeeding counsellors (Leaders), Abi and Caitriona, provide mother-to-mother support for breastfeeding via meetings, helpforms, phonecalls, videocalls and social media.

We have over 230 Leaders across Great Britain and the Isle of Man: they have all breastfed their own babies and have undergone a rigorous accreditation process with La Leche League International, in breastfeeding support and counselling skills.

Every single Leader, Director and Trustee of LLLGB is a volunteer LLL Leader, managing their volunteering around family life and often paid work too. LLL Leaders offer support with the normal course of breastfeeding. Our Professional Liasion Department, and Panel of Professional Advisors enable our Leaders to investigate more complex breastfeeding issues.

To get in touch with either Abi or Caitriona, our LLL Leaders, go to our "Contact us" page.

(It refers to Caitriona as 'the' LLL Leader at LLL East Cambridgeshire, because it was made back when she was a lone leader, she's very happy indeed to now have Abi as a co-Leader!).
