LLL East Cambridgeshire

Mother-to-mother support, encouragement and information for breastfeeding

LLL East Cambridgeshire is here to support you on your breastfeeding journey, from pregnancy to weaning. Whatever breastfeeding looks like for your family, you are welcome.

We understand that breastfeeding looks different for everyone. However your baby gets your milk, and however much of that milk they get, you are welcome. We also recognise that the term breastfeeding does not feel right for everyone, some of you will feel more comfortable calling it chestfeeding, and you are welcome here. Some of you exclusively pump, some of you combi-feed, some of you use an at-breast nursing supplementer, some of you are cup or bottle feeding and trying to get baby to latch, some of you are feeding beyond babyhood, some of you are not enjoying breastfeeding at all, maybe you’re wanting to find out how to stop breastfeeding, maybe you’re wondering how natural term weaning looks. We see you, we hear you and we welcome you.

Our five LLL Leaders (breastfeeding counsellors), Abi, Amy, Caitriona, Cheryl and Rosie, can support you individually and we also provide space for mother-to-mother support where you can ask questions and hear experiences from other mothers in our LLL meetings

We also hold a library of books about breastfeeding and related topics which are free to borrow.
